Research
The Institute of Historical Musicology offers a vast amount of research projects. Guest lectures are held on a weekly basis inviting internationally renowned musicologists. In colloquia especially created for this purpose research results are discussed and thought over. We furthermore cooperate with many other musicological institutes in Germany, Europe and abroad.
More than twenty PhD candidates are currently based at the Institute of Historical Musicology. They come from Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Japan and the United States.
